HISTORY
Alliance is one of the pioneers in the field of insurance broking operating since 2003. It has been founded by Mr. S. V. Thakkar, who is a veteran in the insurance industry having vast experience in this industry for over last three decades. Having such a strong background in the field of insurance and with a vision in his mind, he established Alliance, catering to life and non-life sector.
Alliance has been built on the foundation of building strong and ever-growing relationships with various business entities and establishing a trustworthy brand name for itself. Alliance focuses on de-risking the unknown and unforeseen risks faced by their clients and adding value to all its stakeholders.
Today, Alliance is managed by a strong management, with a blend of youth and experience, which is extremely futuristic in their approach and ensures delivery of real-time services.
TIMELINE
2003
Commences operations with Mumbai as its headquarters. Becomes one of the first ten broking houses to start operations in India
2004
Records a staggering 100 per cent plus growth rate in only its first year of operations. Manufacturing and Services sector becomes the first area of expertise, with successful tie-ups with major corporates across India.
2005
Becomes a pioneer by entering the burgeoning Media, Entertainment and Sports sector. Partnerships secured with various Global Reinsurers
2006
Opens its second office in Pune, India as part of an endeavour to expand operations
2007
Forays into the Construction and Leisure sectors. Steady acquisition of business from renowned developers across the country, sees an expansion in the product portfolio
2008
Market share in the Media, Entertainment and Sports sector increases to 75 per cent on the back of steady acquisition of new businesses. Despite the world recession, a 100 per cent growth rate maintained. Entry into the Aviation sector secured and tie-ups with leading Commercial Pilot Associations for “Loss of License” insurance signed.
2009
Second office in Mumbai opened. Major sporting events across the country insured. Forays into structured Credit insurance for Banks and Financial Institutions.
2010
Enters Power & Energy and Infrastructure sector. Projects like Metro rail, road, transmission lines, renewal energy like solar, wind and also conventional energy space secured. Pioneers devising “Exhibitors Loss of Revenue” insurance cover. First brokers in the country to devise and underwrite insurance covers for cricketers i.e. “Player Loss of Fees” and “Player Bonus”. Explores Bancassurance and Reinsurance markets.
2011
Achieves the status of composite brokers by entering Reinsurance space. Expands operations in India by entering Delhi NCR and Hyderabad.
2012
Expands to tier II cities viz. Ludhiana and Mangalore Forays into Crop insurance and reinsurance market in India
2013
Foray into the Specie business with focus on Jeweller’s Block and Cash Management companies. Expansion of footprint with start of Bangalore and Jaipur operations.
2014
Forays into Private Equity & VC Practice and enhances its footprint to 11 Locations.
2015
PE Funding. Community Health Program
2016
Entered the Figital World – driving more focus on customer satisfaction with the use of unique Client Logins and technology support
2017
Extendes focus to small and medium businesses with Emerging Corporate Group
2018
Enters Aviation Sector and powers a new online B2B2C initiative – elephant
